Saving the MP4 on your device
Each tile is a direct link to the video file, so it opens in a new tab and may start playing. To keep it:
- Android: tap ⋮ at the top of the new tab, then the download arrow.
- iPhone and iPad: touch and hold the tile, then tap Download Linked File.
- Computer: right-click the tile and choose Save link as.
YouTube to MP4: questions
Which video qualities can I choose?
Up to six: 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p and 144p. Each tile shows its file size, so you can find the right balance between picture and space.
Why is 1080p missing for some videos?
We only show the qualities the video itself has. If it was uploaded in 720p, for example, the highest tile you see is 720p.
Can I save long videos in 1080p?
Yes. Every tile shows the real file size, even for a film that runs for hours, so you can check that it fits on your device before you save it.
Do YouTube Shorts work as MP4?
They do. Paste the Shorts link like any other. The preview shows the upright video, and both MP4 and MP3 tiles appear.
Where do I find the video on my phone?
On iPhone and iPad, look in the Files app under Downloads. From there you can save it to Photos with the Share button. On Android, it is in the Downloads folder or the Files app.
Is Ytmp3 free for videos too?
Yes. MP4 downloads are free, just like MP3, with no account and no app needed.
